For the £3k which end do you intend to buy first, front or back?

They are out there. Its just getting one that don't need a new engine ar any major chassis parts.

Lumpy bodywork I can put up with. That chequer plating you can buy now can hide allsorts by the look of it and its dirt cheap.

As I said I don't think I can rely on a Defender as a main vehicle so I might as well curse a cheap old broken down one than an expensive new broken down one.

I don't need it to tow the boat as I have another 4 X 4. I just want something I can hammer.

If you are looking for a 90 to use as a toy contact Challenger 4x4 at Tongham near Farnham (01252 325930). speak to Paul Bass who is the boss. He builds and races extreme off-roaders & also has a number of varying ages for sale. He is also a lot cheaper than a main dealer

John at Bordon is rebuilding a 90 at the moment which might suit, he comes recommended and recently fixed Jimbos Disco after driving down to Portsmouth to pick it up, also looks after my Disco, Peugeot etc. Should have a call back this afternoon on it if your interested.

Been to Reid Landrovers near Horsham today. wasn't overly impressed with the Defender cheap stock, the good ones start around 7K. But did see a very nice Isuzu Trooper 3.1 Diesel on a V plate for £4500 if any one is interested.
Pete I think I'll try Keith Gott in Alton next.
