I've been seduced!

What I wanted was a decent camera phone. What I got was an oh-so-smooth iPhone 3g instead.

OK, so the camera's not too hot (so it doesn't actually meet my functional requirements), but it's just so cool. Even the little slidy thing to unlock it is cool. And I can download a million cool-but-useless things from the AppStore - I didn't even realise that my life was incomplete without a photo realistic Labyrinth game!

Am I officially a style victim now?

John, If you take it on the boat with you remember to put it in a freezer bag! Although obviously as a fashionista - you will need something "cooler" than a freezer bag

Oh, a couple of great Apps:

1. Facebook (FREE): excellent for uploading photos from the iPhone on the move;
2. NetNewsWire (FREE): great if you are an RSS news junkie like me. Allows you to sync your feeds across multiple machines;
3. Shazam (FREE): point it at the radio and it names-that-tune
4, Dreigit: cool Atari Asteriods-a-like.
5. JiroBreak: cool Breakout-a-like.
6. New York Times (FREE): good for reading over a coffee.

Still looking for a good tide App.....

Its just a shame the iphone is on such a shite network.
We recently changed at work from Voda to O2 and it is the worst network I have ever been on.

Hopeless

Yep, I ditched 02 for Orange recently. It was useless.

Thats a good app, but its not exclusive to O2 or the iphone, and it wasnt free last time I tried it, you get charged for the text coming back with the song title if it finds it, but its very clever

linky

You're right, but its execution is better on the iPhone.
