invent short term nav lights?

hi , as cowes week fireworks is soon approaching us, we wanted to get out and enjoy them , however , the fireworks dont start until about normally 9PMish and we are rather worried because we dont have any nav lights.....
Is it possible to strap some bike lights - appropriate colours -, to the boat for the time being , would we get away with it?
regards hannah

You could use coloured glowsticks as a very temporary measure perhaps?

Found this: http://www.western-marine.com/page102.htm

They have emergency nav lights powered by battery if that's any help.

A better suggestion would be get your dad to spend the £40 and buy some and then fit them. It's not rocket science, or if your dad doesn't have time then get a marine electronics engineer to fit them. Total cost would be about £100 at worst.

Mailspeed have them here: http://www.mailspeedmarine.com/produ...D=37&offset=30

But then any chandelry will probably have them.

Aladdin's cave have them, 9.99 each, they also stock the battery operated ones, although not sure on the price of those.

Simple to fit, did mine in a couple of hours If he needs any input, feel free to give me a shout.

Where would you get a green bike light from for the starboard side?

Hannah,

Have a look at these;

Light stick lights

Emergency Nav Lights

Hope this helps, as previously stated rigging the real deal on a permanent basis is your best option.
