The 2014 Vintage has improved with age - a lot more mellow and there's a hint of apple coming through that wasn't there before. I have maybe 75 bottles left....

Interesting - I never realised you could grow walnuts in these parts... just assumed they were tropical! I like an unusual bit of planting... might need to investigate when I win the lottery and buy my estate.! Take it they don't come on a dwarf root stock?

They do well in England so from your perspective, they ARE tropical...

(p.s. a flower doth not a walnut make...but it's a good start)

Ah - ur right RHS says Nut Crops are unreliable north of the Midlands. I guess 13 years might be classed as unreliable, and like you say flower <> nut

Our best Blueberry crop ever. We have 40 blueberry bushes and so far over 30 gallon buckets harvested. We vacuum pack them in plastic bags and freeze.
We just got our first call to harvest apples to be pressed.
my favorite time of the year
cheers
Hank

We picked and pressed our first truck load of apples and made 50 gallons. With all the salmon in the river we are beating the bears to the apples, more to be picked on Saturday.
cheers

We picked two truck loads of apples and pressed them. Getting close to 200 imperial gallons. We tried to add blueberries to the mix and found that they didn't squash so the blueberries need to be blended first then mixed.
more apples coming in today
cheers
