Helmet Cam

I am going Skiing this Friday, and have just thought that it would be great if i had a helmet cam to capture it all, I have got a video camera which I think has the right inputs.

Can anyone reccomend a good quality, 520 line? helmet cam at a reasonable price which isn't from a America, need it on Thursday.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Freddie

This website has loads of them and some good advice:

http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/index.html

I bought an ATC 2000 because it records onto sd within the camera, details on that site. You can sometimes grab a good bargain on ebay with these cameras though.

Hope this helps

Hi J S

What is the quality like? I need to be able to strap it to my helmet so don't want it too big, as it records onto SD card what size do you have and how much footage will it hold.

Hi Freddie

the quality is very good and it will hold an hour of footage on a 2gb sd card at full quality. Records straight into avi format as well very easy to use.

Manos has got some footage with his: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...46918042736024

The footage i have got is better quality than that so mabye it is not at full quality or it has been compressed.

It also comes with all the helmet and handlebar straps brackets etc Picture Attached.

I remember reading about these sunglasses that had the camera built in to one of the arms. They were intended for snowboarding. I can't remember the make now.

I have some footage from the RNLI that was shot using the Gecko helmet cam system

It's not cheap, but the images are very good.
