Codprawn is my hero!

there's a thread most people wouldn't expect me to start!

However - I got a new mobile last week. Tonight I went out on my bike and even though its not raining for some reason put my mobile in a freezer bag... no idea why but it must have been inspired my codders. Turns out my camelpak leaked and soaked everything - but the phone was fine.

So he does drone on about it - but on this occassion at least it worked, and will now form part of my standard bike process (as well as checking the hose on the camelpak is tight!).

I think this just highlights the dangers of physical exercise.

But you might!

I now carry two mobile 'phones with me - my personal everyday 'phone which often goes in an aquapac if it's wet or rough, then I can use the lanyard to either attach it to something on the boat, or it can go round my neck.

The second 'phone is an O2 pay-as-you go which gets seldom used and I make sure is fully charged. This one goes in the plastic bag and stays in a pocket. It will only come out in case of emergency. It has all the coastguard telephone numbers saved.

Wow, it could turn out to be the biggest achievement of your life.
Perhaps you should change to "Bagprawn"

Ikea are doing some nice quality zip-locks that are quite durable.

And yes it's now standard kit for me too.
