EDIT: No problem Jimbo, just remembered something about the pre fabricated houses on the East Coast, can't remember much detail, but suitability of housing and whether the design and suitibility of the housing was appropriate to the area, and even if the possibility of flooding was considered in the architecture.

It's whiskey and cheap pizza for me - don't go in for herbal remedies!

Still, sounds like you enjoyed pompey as much as I am!

Alex

Can I get with it in the morning when I've slept, and had a nice cup of tea?

Jimbo

You'll find out about mornings when you get a job.

Its a sort of vague, hazy time between getting up and having lunch.

Nasher,
I do not look forward to these morning things you speak of. They do not sound like something I wish to partake in.

i.e. the disaster itself didn't seem to cause anger & frustration ...in the way the response from services seemed to.

Perhaps originating in feelings of abandonment among peeps needing urgent help.

you might want to consider human error as well. michael brown, director of fema at the time seemed to have failed to react to input from staff from his department as well as others about the potential disaster. apparently he was planning on resigning before katrina and was somewhat detatched from his job at that point.

just a thought. he might be a scapegoat but blame seems to be pointed at him for now.
