Andy, your RIB wouldnt happen to have a white stepped hull with blue tubes would it?

If so think I seen it sitting at the entrance to the slip last week...

No thats my friends, we stripped off the Volvo leg last week to replace the two top bearings and seals, its a Carson fitted with a Volvo KAD42 and goes like stink. My Redbay is in the marina, red tubes and white hull and a wrap around console.

Cool Andy I will keep an eye out for your RIB dont remember seeing it before!

You might know my RIB? It was the 4.5m Narwhall that was sitting for sale outside of the chandlery for ages....

Going slightly off topic, do you know of anywhere in the marina that can do some gel coat repair? Got a bit on the hull that needs fixed but aint wanting to try it myself...

Cheers in advance...

Try Jim at Clyde Marine Tech. 07736816613 or ask Kip for his office number (at Fairlie Quay). I have used him for a number of years to do end of season tidy ups and he has allways done an excellent job for the costs.
I have seen your boat and think I saw you launch it last week when I was stripping of the Volvo leg from my friends boat, next time I will come and speak to you as I should be calmer....he was very worried about his leg and would'nt give me peace to strip it out

Any of you lot know of a slip in Dunoon or area? I am now based in Oban and the easiest way for me to get to the Clyde is to drive there rather than all the way round. I just need to know if there is a good slip there when I arrive as I have never ben to Dunoon in my puff

Not sure abount slips at Dunoon, you could phone Holy Loch Marina which is just before you come into Dunoon, the 2 ferry that run from Dunoon use Link Spans to load, however there is a small ferry that runs from Colintrive to Bute that still uses a slip to load. If you are thinking about diving Colintrive is up the Kyles of Bute and hand for the Wallachia, Beagle, Cumbrae and Lower Loch Fyne, where as the Holy Loch is Good for the Greenock, Akka, Kintyre, Europa, and Iona.

Looks like I will be around in the Clyde more often. The old dear has just bought a caravan in Dunoon which makes it worthwhile coming down at weekends, it was just a bit too far for regular day trips.
If you see an all yellow RIB with loads of bods in drysuits then thats probably me
