Andy,

Looking at launching from Calshot, which i've never done before, then scooting on down to the Needles and probably stopping in Yarmouth or Lymington for a meal. Would welcome the company. Probably launch at 1100 hrs or thereabouts.

Nick.

Would love to be there but at the other end of The Solent(Chichester Harbour) hopefully trying out the new boat.
Take it Calshot facilities impressed you?
Try the Spinnacre Bar and put your name down for the Caravan Site.

Solent Ribbing

Hi All,

I may be around next weekend. Nice to see you again Nick.

We missed the reception party on Hayling Beach on Saturday. Nasher was waving franticly trying to Hitch a lift I think

Will keep an eye on the thread and see how it develops.
Cheers

Noddy,

The ramp looked good enough. But the main reason I want to try it is because its right next to the Solent. Southampton water, which is where I launched from last weekend is absolutely miles from the Solent. A good run non the less but it sure adds some sea miles and therefore increases fuel consumption. Anyway would like to give it a try and see how it goes.
I quite like Warsash but not too sure about retrieving or launching at high tide with a larger boat. Therefore its time to try Calshot.
