The Gulf de Morbihan is nice but it's full of Sunday sailors. It's best to get out of the Gulf to visit Houat, Hoedic and Belle ile. They are great places to go around on foot, on a bike or in a boat.

I'll agree with you there

I've cycled around Belle Ile a few years ago and visited a couple of Islands in the Gulf too. I also took part in the only Yacht race I've ever been in, this was in the Gulf and whilst the start was dead scary the rest was a little boring. We didn't come last though and was treated very much as part of the crew, even though I was just movable ballast

I do love the area and lifestyle though and have been talking to the wife only this evening about packing the tent and spending time near Vannes with a couple of days in Paris too.

Yep a favourite of Vivienne and mine too and the Gulf just a huge play ground with some great tidal races to play in

Hi Andy & all!!!

Late Crimbo return for us this year but just spotted this.

If you guys are planning a blast in the Southern Brittany seas,we would love to help.

We had some fun times in the Gulf of Morbihan with some intrepid ribsteros last year and Belle Ile and the other islands the year before. We plan more of the same this summer!

We will be linking up with the French Ribsters on their Spring Cruise again this year (Western Brittany this year). They are a great bunch and there's a new Solent over there needing a few runs!

Brucehawkser was also keen to do a longer run.

(philB we have been away in forren parts but he will be phoning )

Kathleen & Paul

So, is anyone planning a cruise over to the channel Islands? Or how about a Priory Bay pic-nik or something.
