Waiting for Neil to finish the service!

Very different from the Scorp but haven't used it much yet to really know, as it needed the service doing.

Supposed to be a great rough water boat so we'll see in the next few weeks.

Hi Mark,

We're planning on being in St V that weekend. Just checked the lock times and the gates close at 15.00 on the Saturday and re-open at 21.33. That removes the opportunity for afternoon refreshments in Cherbourg so I guess we'll have to go straight there.

Great news your coming.

Hopefully Roy Smith will be coming from the Solent so you might be able to travel together.

On the Monday the locks don't open until 10am so there will be time for breakfast.

Have you spoken to Chris Kaye?

David and Harry are joining the trip to St.Vaast with Rib Tombouy, 6m, leaving Crosshouse Slip 9am Saturday. Planning muchos desperadoes with Whiteshoes and Wildey!

Need calm sea and wish fine weather, such as least year.

If in St Vaast Fushias restaurant is a must, you will need to book and it is expensive, but the seafood is brilliant!

The weekend was a great success with four boats making the trip.

Crossing the channel on Saturday was flat calm and we cruised at 37 knots most of the way!

Met with Whiteshoes and Simmons0, in the bar if you can believe it, followed by a meal in Cafe Va Ban and a few beers after that.

Another great meal on Sunday in Cafe Du Port.

The return trip on Monday was a bit choppy and wasn't helped that I lost trim on one of my engines as soon as I left St Vaast

Didn't get a chance to say goodbye to the other boats as we were trimmed out and didn't want to drop off the plane to then struggle back up.

Last 10 miles was done at 40 knots with big smiles on our faces ( a bit like this ==>

Another great weekend in France, after making the St.Vaast harbour gate by seconds, to a cheering crowd. French Cuisine, ball games on the beach, kite flying, country walks, even fitted in some beers. Many thanks to Whiteshoes and family for looking after us, especially the slow trip back on Monday in choppy seas.

Mark Wildey's powerboat provided entertainment at rest in harbour (viewing the accommodation) and at sea! I thought I ate in Le Vauban Sat night?
