Solent meet - Saturday 14 June 2008

I don't want to push the limits of my wee 4m RIB too far, so any solent cruises, maybe up to Lee-on-solent or to Ocean Village would be ideal!

I just want to get to know the waters and meet new people along the way

Any thoughts?

Laurence.

That would be great!

When were you thinking of heading over there?

Thanks, Laurence

I'm aiming (weather permitting) to be in Yarmouth (IoW!) for lunch on Saturday. Anybody else going to be there?

The weather's looking good, so my plan is to leave Poole around 10.30 with a view to having an earlyish lunch in the Wheatsheaf (good beer and food and friendly) around 12.00 - in the garden, if sunny. Possibly up the Medina in the afternoon to find Nos and a drink The Folly after!

Blackroady: I don't have access to my chart at the moment to check chart heights for Mudeford but since I know they're not negative, you've over 1m beneath you until at least 11.45 am (BST) on Saturday. By the time I've cleared Poole Harbour speed limit, I should be rounding Hengistbury Head around or just after 11.00 am. Will look out for you.

I'm in a grey tubed/white hulled Ribcraft with a distinctive Sea-Me radar atop the A-frame.

Ian McC: as above and hope to see you in Yarmouth. Where are you launching from?

David
