Hello Chaps
We may have 2 ribs out from Chichester Sat, just another idea, how about a run down to Brighton for some hot grub and back....
Wind seems to be droping off, so shouldnt be to bad.
Need to confirm 2mrw though.

May not make tomorrow. Went out earlier to refuel and found one wheel of the trailer a "bit" hot (too hot to touch). When back at home striped the hub and found that the brake lining had come away form the brake shoe, rotating round the drum and jamming!

Hardly any wear on the shoes, but can you believe they are only glued on ......

What happened to riveting? Especially on a trailer intended for boat use!

Will try to get out first thing and source replacements and fit, but dont know whether I will meet the time scale. If not will go out later and try for Sunday as well, as I really do enjoy a blast through Poole Harbour.

Went down to my boat earlier, had looads wrong, including one of the engines not starting... have fixed it all up as much as possible for tomorrow, only thing I couldnt get working was the starboard nav light and the spotlight.... could be worse I suppose

Will fuel up first thing, and get the boat craned in, aiming to leave drivers by 10:30 (more likely 11)

How big us your tank, it seems a lot less fkkn about to pick you up and fill up 6 jerry cans at teaso, I've got 8 plastic fuel tanks in the garden we can use and I have a very clean fuel transfer system. It also means the boat can go in the water at a conbenient time tothe yard, they might be busy on Saturday as theres a lot of boaters coming out of hibernation

About 180 litres... reason I wanted to go to the fuel station is that I dont believe my fuel guages, and have no idea how much fuel I need... if the fuel guages are right, I've lost 100+ litres of fuel some how :|

You've not lost any fuel boat wise, theres no sign of it having leaked on your decks or transom/deck well and your filters are full or any smell of fuel indicating a leak. If you have some missing it's been taken out or not put in. your tank is above deck in the console so that would be reaking if it was leaking/evaporating.

The missing fuel, if it is, has either been taken out or not put in, i'd start a thread on what is the best Anti syphon device for a boat if I were you.

Luke - apologies - only just got back to PC - however you are welcome to come out on Tuesday afternoon with me .

Met up with Avocet & Benc & it clearly shows that both Ribcraft & Parker are faster/ better rough water boats !

My crew wimped out & wanted to get lunch in Cowes & not Wooten so apologies for that too ! Hope you both made it back OK . Got into cowes to find half the contents of the oil tank emptied insude the seat & trying to find its way on to the deck - all abit of a sticky mess really . Not sure why - just tightened the filler cap & carried on.

Pics to follow shortly ( battery died at Needles so only a few )

Pete
