Speaking of economy, I believe the Targas used VERY little fuel after Inverness...

If you include them in with the Parker - that makes four out of five failed diesels on recent RB challenges. Last months RI attempt saw diesel failure end the attempt - I was surprised but it makes a brighter outlook for outboard owners

What was the 5th diesel? Wasn't there another one off the south coast?

Sorry - counting engines not boats - rumour was two on one Targa, one on the other and then one on the Parker. Was there another?

Now let's be fair about this the diesel on the Parker rib failed but she completed the Challenge as she crossed the line in the Solent and she went RB all the way , solo and up to 10 hours a day with six persons on board.

I guess this was directed to me.

There was a team of 10. 2 drivers of the vans so they did RB by road
of the 8 members only 2 went round all the way the other 4 were taking their turns. So for those 2 it was RB all the way.

There was only one RIB and she went round all the way
