Poole cruise May 26th & 27th

Dear All, not sure if anyone would like to cruise to Poole over the weekend of the 26thy & 27th May, but if you have a look at the racing section you will see that we have a powerboat race, and are looking for safety boats, so could you combine a cruise with helping us, below is a copy of some of the information.

Can you help on Sunday 27th May ??

As with all big powerboat race events, we rely on the help of the volunteer patrol and rescue boats, if you not done this before all will be explained at the Sunday morning safety briefing, or can be done by email or phone if you can't make the briefing.
Why not make a weekend of it, we can provide berthing in Dolphin Haven on Poole Quay for the Saturday night, in return for you helping with the race from around 11.30 until 15.00 on the Sunday, book your Grandstand seat now !!!!

Hi would be very interested. My father and I are both coded commercial skippers and BSAC instructor and Advanced Diver with all our own kit if you need underwater rescue as well.

BiggerDipper/Wellhouse, sorry for not replying earlier, we would love to have help with our race, I will send you both a pm with my contact details.

Any other Ribs that would like to help with the race please pm me, race starts at 12.00 at Bournemouth Pier on Sunday 27th May, should be complete by 15.00. If you can make the Safety briefing at Poole Quay (Dolphin Haven) we can arrange a berth, briefing is at 10.00 in the Thistle Hotel.

Hi Foxfire, I did e-mail you after the message you sent me but have had no response, should I assume that you no longer need assistance for the race. I really need to know either way so I can plan my weekend.

The race is on, we have 20+ boats racing.
The 1st start at 12.00 on the 27th at Bournemouth Pier will send the 8/10 marathon boats off on a 85 mile leg, the 2nd start soon after will send the smaller boats off on a 65 mile race which will pass the pier about 6 times, by which time the faster marathon boats should be back to complete a couple of smaller legs in the bay.
