NW Ribsters,8th Feb at Fleetwood

Hi everyone.

Apears to becoming almost a monthly event.

Anyone fancy a trip out 8th Feb from Fleetwood.

Tide is 12.25 and 9.5M so will give us plenty of play time.

Plan to be on the water for 11.00 and return about 14.00, giving a good 3 hours. If people want to stay longer their should be no problem with the slip a hour or two either side of these times.

We can decide wher we go/do closer to the date, depending on the weather.

So who interested ?.

Regards Gary

Hi Gary
I should be in Chile by then (life's just a B**** ain't it) but Nik could perhaps go. I'll give her your phone number.
The cox'n of her l/boat had seen you out the other day-he assumed you were friends of ours-which makes me wonder what he thinks of our sanity

Hi folks

Yes Nicki will be more then welcome, either on my RIB or in yours.
Just give us a call.

On phones I will send Barry & Graham my phone numbers as it may help last minute plans etc.

Well are we mad

Well when I try and tell people at work what we do at weekend their is no question.

Usually ends up trying to describe a RIB, a blowup boat with a hard floor, but with a 240HP engine and then we go out in a force 8 gale.

Not sure what image they create from this but they are sure were mad.

Was the cox'n standing by, hand on pager, waiting for the call, while watching us

Roll on the 8th,, but it would be nice to have some calm weather for a change.

Regards Gary

Day Pass

Ian
you will have to resort to bribery i'm afraid
jumping on a train to Manchester slowley edge your way to Primart (cheeper in their) hold the shopping bag and follow
when at the checkout offer to pay with cc in hand.
whilst walking back to the train station theirs a cafe on the aproach say shall we have something to eat (dont forget to order all that you can eat cos her indoors will feel guilty and offer to pay
this works for me
please note this thread is for the sole use of fellow ribsters trying to get day passes fron there partners

Hi folks

You can do what I do

I go out ribbing for a few hours and wife goes shopping round Fleetwood Freeport. Tell them it is manly clothes and their are load of bargins, which their are if you hunt round.

It works keeps everyone happy give it a go Ian,.

Even better make sure you have you creditcard with you on the boat, and the tide time means you get back just after the shops close.

I wish to state that this is something i would never do or support (just in case wife reads this post )

But on a serious note, this is somthing we do often, if its not fit for wife & kids to come out they just go shopping.

Regards Gary

Thanks for the tip Barry however 'the boss' is also registered on here. Am I in trouble!
"What are you trying to set up now? The kitchen needs decorating, bedroom curtains to hang, Land Rover to sort out.

Do they buy these lists on the internet?

Have been advised the shackles will be off for March, so see you at Knott End, (Troll in tow).

Hi folks

We have had a few good days out but dont often get much chance to chat. Apart from shouting over the wind.

To this end after we have recovered/berthed the RIBS on the 8th Feb who fancies a pint in a nearby pub ?.

Chance to have a chat, warn up and catch up on things.
Maybe even have a bite to eat.

Regards Gary

I might be able to make it over that way for the weekend.

As an expat north west lad it would be nice to meet the fabled NW Ribsters!

Hi folks

Suggest we leave the RIB's on the marina car park then take one/two cars to the pub, unless somone knows a suitable pub that will fit RIB's on.

I will have a look round next time I am over.

Dave, do you know any where suitable being a local lad.

Chris, would be nice to see new faces, you more then welcome.
Are you planning to bring your RIB, if not I should have room.

Regards Gary
