If the weather's good on Christmas day, I may well be up for it. Would be worth the agro of launching IMV.
Figured you wouldn't be far behind me! I'll kind of be laid up for xmas but having said that I'd do anything to get of family duties

The forecast hasn't really improved today (4-5 SE, wind-against-tide on a 39 footer) so Im going to pull out myself. Pity really as I was quite looking forward to going once more before winter. Still, it's been a good year (trips to Avranches, Pontaubault and six to MSt.M) so I'm happy.

Anyone fancy a trip to Mont St. Michel either Christmas Day (early start, better tide) or Boxing Day (later start, lower tide)? Mrs GJ0KYZ's already gone to the anti-santa for Chistmas so I'm going to be on my own.

Sat weather

Saturday weather looks by far the better day. I would love to come as my wife is on nights so she will be in bed most of xmas day.

Also, the way this week is going I am likely to be working Xmas day afternoon.

Hope you have a good trip if you do MSM.

If your plans change to something a little tamer (maybe round island) on xmas morning I would definitely be available.

Regards
karlT

ps. I do now believe your bathroom is at 380ft got the telescope out to check

Mini Martini's far from ready for the water but the mother ship's still in the marina. My plan was to haul her out xmas eve and spend the next ten days tearing in to my electronics.

If the weather was really good like today then I could put all my gear back onboard and go to MstM, although I'll still need to blast the weed off first.

If the wx holds then I'll put my boat on the blocks Christamas Eve as I need to clean my hull as well. The forecast favours Christmas morning at the moment; we'd be back in Jersey by 10:00.

10.00 as in am? Not stopping for the day?

Which blocks are you going on, South pier? Do you need to book them? That's probably easier for me than going back on the trailer.

Technically I don't finish work til the end of the 24th but I've done everything that needs to be done so I've got 2 days to clean the hull, fuel up and load all my gear back on the boat.

Current forecast is NE F5 in the morning dropping through the day to E F3

Very tempted to join you, but not sure I'll be allowed out on Saturday. Though if I plan this right and make a complete mess of the preparations on Friday I may get banished from the house and told to stay out of the way

Don't mind helping with loading or cleaning on Friday if either of you would like some help.

If I'm going on my own then I won't stay but if others are coming along then I'd like to spend the day there. We would get off at about 20:30. Regarding the blocks, yes I'll go on the ones at South Pier. You normally have to book but no one will be using them on Christmas Eve I would have thought.
