The current membership of BIBOA is nationwide, although the central South coast area is the most popular region at the moment in terms of where members live or choose to base their boats/launch their boats. There are approx a dozen members in Devon and a couple in Cornwall, I think, so you could arrange to meet up with them or organise your own Cornish cruises and I'm sure you'd get some BIBOA members from other areas willing to join in the fun. The main social event (a dinner dance and awards presentation combined with the AGM) will be held in Bristol this year.

Participation in cruises is a big benefit of BIBOA membership but there are othr benefits too such as Riblines magazine (produced 5 times a year), discounted insurance from a well-established RIB insurer, access to a wealth of information and help from BIBOA members or from the RYA (to which BIBOA is affiliated) and the opportunity to meet a lot of really genuine and interesting people from all walks of life who share a common passion!

End of sales pitch!

Dartmouth

Cookee and Co

I have been trying to book a place for us all to eat on the saturday night, I thought about the Dartmouth Yacht Club but so far they have not been all that helpful, I had to ask them 4 times to send me a menu and when I got it there was only a couple of things on there, they said that they had just changed suppliers so things are up in the air, were see what happens. If any one has another suggestion please let me know and I will give them a call.Found a great curry house last time I was there.

Regards
.

Dartmouth

Rosie

For the life of me I cant remember the name but I am on the case and we should have something sorted in the next few weeks. I spoke to the tourist board and June is very busy time so we will need to start booking accomodation soon.

I have been in talks with Dart Marina to try and do a deal with them as well.

If you have a copy of Riblines can you complete the form for the Dartmouth event and return it to me as soon as you can.

Thanks

Julian

Kids etc

Hi

I've got accomodation booked in Victoria Rd hopefully near enough to boat/restaurant etc, don't know layout of Dartmouth.

Does anyone have any children with them? Some freinds with 10 and 6 yr old girls plan to join us for the Dartmouth part not the journey too and from or the Indian meal! Wondered if it was actually all adults attending.

Cheers

Anybody going with an emptyish boat ?

We can accomodate 6 but I'd rather run with 4.

Looking to place father and 15 year old son, both inexperienced but not newcomers, for the Saturday and run back on Sunday only. Please let me know if that fits with anyone's plans and they have plenty of space.

Thanks

Brian

I think you will find 17th June is the Brixham Torquay Trawler race which is always good fun to watch.

Starts from Brixham at 10am
