Clyde webcams?

Hi

Anyone aware of any well placed webcams in the general Clyde Estuary area and beyond for seeing what the conditions are like rather than trying to rely on forecasts?

Ta

This is the one in Largs marina

But it only updates every 60 seconds and doesnt show much surroundings .. the one they used to have at the sailing club was far better but doesnt operate any more

Hi, i read somewhere recently that there were cctv cameras being placed either on or in the direction of bouys around Hunterston Channel. Not sure if they planned to make them visible to the public, maybe a call to Clydeport would be more helpful than i have been.
I would also be interested to hear if anybody has more info.
Regards
Kim

Clyde webcams

Hi

Yeh the ones at the Yacht Haven are next to useless - been tempted to take a long stick with me and make a wee adjustment to point it out to sea!

Took a trip up to Portavadie today - the conditions were absolutely fantastic, the forecast for 2 weeks time looks great at this point, so here's hoping we can get a repeat for the trip prior to the Millport Illuminations.

Also saw a basking shark when we were out - it's amazing how small they make you feel!

Hope so to. Taking B'Inlaw out for a night nav excersise after the fireworks so calm conditions would be welcome

Clyde web

Try googling the Arran Banner, it has a shot of Brodick pier.

I too have been searching for such webcams, conditions inland obviously vary enormously from what its actually like.

Hi

Just to confirm that I have taken Kim's advice and have emailed Clydeport - still waiting on a reply, will give you an update if I get one.
