Charles

Thought I would bring this thread back to the top.

Could we have an update on the runner and riders to date?

Count Keith in

Keith has kindly requested that I nominate him in his SIB for the crossing.......

He has come up with a cunning solution to carrying the additional fuel required to do the crossing......

Simple, fill up the tubes with fuel before departing, range should be aprox 3000 miles

Personaly I will be at knitting classes that weekend and unable to attend....

Sorry mate, I cannot make it but I am sending Jan as my champion just in case any trouble breaks out. Look after him for me!

Cheers

Another absolutely stunning event!!!!!

I'd like to thank a lot of people for this...

Charles - making lots of stuff happen

Monsieur Paul Lemmer - as above...

- and a special thank you to Andy, Pet, Jason and Lisa - for putting up with me on "Awesome".

To everyone else, the company was excellent, (even Vincent!!!), and apologies if I was a bit quiet and grumpy on Saturday night, it was just tiredness and a month's stress catching up.

And thanks to Geoff for the time I spent on "Out Of The Blue" - much appreciated. Looked for you an Alderney, but only saw your RIB!

Richard.

PS - I've been working in London today, and I've being telling everyone that I got my hair styled in one of Vincent's salons

Thanks for the kind words Richard. Yes, what a great week-end even though it was action packed with misadventures etc.

It just goes to show.. it does not matter what size rib you have, cruising in company with a safe boat, the desire and willingness to venture further afield, and all these amazing places suddenly become very accesible. Thanks to everyone who made the effort!!

A full account, including Jan Falkowski, Paul Lemmer and myself being stuck in a French lift at 2 in the morning for over two hours, blimey what a week-end!
