Winter winds down.

Feeling a little wistful today, man would I like to take the boat out... days like today in Feb. pretty warm, 15 above freezing... Oh well, NOT YET!!! Just a picture of the boat on the drive, pulled it out of the mud last weekend, what a battle that was, snow and all. The tube set will be coming off in the next couple of weeks to go back to Demaree for maintenance/overhaul. I will post a few pics as things move along. Spring is on the way people! Hang in there!

Bitter, ironic laughter....

We had 60cm of snow and 120km/h winds on Saturday. Digging out iinvolved a JCB, a snowblower and a lot of shovelling! So far this month we've had 1.6m, most of which is still piled by the side of the roads. And its snowing as we speak!

A bit different from sunny essex........

The upside is lots of opportunity for fun drift busting, wahay powersliding and gratituitous use of 4wd in the Jeep.

Mate of mine lived in Canada a few years ago - he said they had to go up onto the roof a few times each year to scrape snow off.

With the recent spate of rooves collapsing around the world due to snow why don't buildings have rooves like they do in the Alps - very tapered or pointy???
