Ultimate Power Parker 900 Baltic

Hi guys,

Had an amazing day out testing the new Parker 900 Baltic recreational line. This baby was equiped with top of the range Mercury verado twin 275 engines. The adrenaline rush was incredible, we achieved an amazing 55 knots top speed on 21" Vensura Props.
The hull gives an incredibly smooth and dry ride. This beast just grinds into corners even when doing very sharp turns at W.O.T. ;-)
The console with an integrated 2 man seat offers a wonderfull view for passangers whilst cruising and the sun bed on the bow..... well the women just love it ;-) here are some pics what do you think of it???

Very nice boat but the worlds worst jockey seats. I cannot believe that after the first design that anyone would have built a second seat, let alone put them into production.
Cheers

I wonder if the top speed is a little low? Seems an awful lot of horses for only 55 knots...

The main issue with the seat is that it's to narrow at the top. Combine that with hard foam and you have a seat that is uncomfortable even for a demo in the Solent.

The Parker is a very nice boat but you would come back from a channel trip thinking it was a very hard ride, if you sat down, when quite clearly that's not the case.

Its strange that the shape of jockey seat seems universal except for Parker.

That's about as much as I can write about jockey seats without causing my haemorrhoids to flare up!

Cheers

Mark

Yeah, I thought that too. Not muvh point in wearing them otherwise!

Is the RIB 9m? Top speed is not that much for a lot of hp. I also think that the seat moulded into the front of the console will be fine until it gets a bit rough. After that I think it would get a tad uncomfortable!

We are very happy with a top speed of only 55 knots. The baltic Hull was not designed for top end speed. It is a very wide hull offering a very comfortable, safe and dry ride.
The R.S. WICH HAS A VERY DEEP "v" and has a narrow hull would definetaly achieve a higher max. speed.

Lovely boat.
I don't know why more ribs don't come with sunloungers at the front. Total waste of space otherwise..

In no way did I mean to cause offense when I questioned the speed, after all 55 knots is more than enough for anyone, just a little suprised by the figures. Wonder what 1 engine with less drag and half the fuel consumption produce on the speed front. Just often wonder about the pro's and cons of the twin setup.

I'll have a 750 baltic on the water in a fortnight with a single 250 verado so we'll see how she performs only 1,5 metres shorter. Will post some pics aswell.
