Oulton Broad cruise

A few snaps here of my very brief cruise two days ago. The plan was to launch at Oulton Broad, go through Mutford lock into Lake Lothing and then through Lowestoft harbour into the sea, down to Southwold for fish and chips and then back. However, the best plans always backfire. When we launched the water was as smooth as glass, but by the time we got out into the sea it was very windy indeed. Having got very wet we sought refuge in Lowestoft marina while we dried off and had ice-creams. Anyway a few of the lock and a ship with a couple of very nice Delta cabin ribs on a very interesting looking launching system:

Those Deltas look like toys hanging off the side of the ship like that - great way to launch a RIB though!!!

I thought they looked a bit underpowered; twin 90 Yamahas.
