You seem to see the CG SAFE boats out on a pretty regular basis, and they apparently go out armed more often than up in Monterey. Have you ever seen the M240 mounted on the rear pintle mount?

Not for any particular reason; just curious.

always see them armed and they are loaded with live rounds and ready to go. (see close up)
I asked them a similar question the other week ,about if they ever use the rear mount.
Usually just the front as does not hinder their usual activities and duties and out of the reach of idiots, who they sometimes have to put in the back.
Also more intimidating mounted on the front ,I think

With a 3m SIB you could work the tiller with the left hand (WOT of course) while working the trigger with the right.
