Boat is nearly finished now. just a few bits and bobs to bolt back on and waiting for yamaha decals for engine cover. Total budget is still under 4k.

Found this in a diving shop. Useful bit of kit without a sharp point to puncture your tubes.

Thanks Bryan, I was still using the boat up to end of november and it should be back on the water in the next fortnight either on the lower Severn or up around Bardsey island off Anglesy. Its last launch was down your way (porthcawl)Rels in Port talbot, over to Watchet in Devon.

Dave

Worst bit was the launch at porthcawl. The lifeboat slip has a really nasty swell (RNLI use a tractor and cradle) but the trip over was pretty flat compared to what you get up around Bardsey island which is my usual haunt. God, no disrespect, but Wales must have the worst slipways in the World.

Regards

David

slipways of wales

yes dave some of them are a bit ropey, but saying that the next time your in s/wales try the slip in saundersfoot, the h/master down there is pete skelthwaith (top man) you can launch there for pennies into the harbour and have a nice trip around caldy island , but you cant berth on the island without the permission of the resident (monks ) caldy sound is quite stunning when its calm , regards bryan

BOAT LOOKS THE BIZS

Great job David. I am also thinking of puting something like this aluminum protection bit under my Falcon in Greece but don't know how to support it in a wtaretight way with the hull.
