Lets see your boat history.....

Lets see some pictures of your previous boats and your current pride and joy (TimM may need a seperate server!).
I will start:
Avon 4m Supersport, 40HP Suzuki 2stroke
+ Very quick and economical, interesting handling (Could have the helm all the way over and give it a burst of throttle and it just went sideways!)
- Would have planed with a 15HP, the 40HP was an overkill, it couldn't handle the power and weight and started to fall to bits. Not enough vee in the hull really so rough weather was a no no.

Ring 15ft Speed boat, 70HP Tohatsu 2stroke
+ A real posers boat, looked the part, went very well, just under 50MPH with the Tohatsu. Great fun, but liked the petrol, lovely engine though.
- Too light a layup, had all sorts of breakages, and again not very good in rough weather.

Current boat: Avon 4m Searider, Mariner 50HP.
Collected this morning by my brother from Nos4r2, I ve yet to set eyes on it, but im expecting great things from the little Searider hull. I ve always wanted one, and this fitted the specification exactly, cheers Matt.

This is the current one... a Zodiac Hurricane 590 (150 Yamaha), and the previous one... A Zodiac Mark III Rigid Hull (60 Mariner)... It would be a Hurricane 440 now I suppose. The previous ones were a Zodiac Mk. II Futura and a Mk. II Compact before that...

The next boat will likely have sails... but not for a long while yet...

So that's where nos's searider went. Well done Alex!

A handful of my favorites:
1: Quicksilver 270ad with 6hp Johnson (longshaft!!) - the first boat I bought.
2: Cormorant - 4.1m Southern Pacfic with Mariner 40. Great fun - my first "proper" boat. Had some great days out in her with family. She was the reason I ended up at Portsmouth uni after I descovered how great the Solent was when my parents and I took the rib down to the Isle of Wight one summer holiday.
3: The pontoon boat! My AS level DT project. My teacher nearly died of a heart attack that year - he thought I was making a model boat, not a full size one.
4: Greyhound - Ribtec 585 with Mariner 115. Jimbos old boat. Very safe and looked good.
5: Evolution - my current and (as of last week) only RIB. Currently fitted with a Johnson 140 4 stroke. Long term plan is to put a Suzuki 225 4stroke on the back!

Apart from the SR4 I don't have any pics of any of mine on the water.I rarely went anywhere in company that was carrying a camera.

I think that Sr4 is going to give you a 4m long grin ADS

A bit-but I was getting fed up of having no work space with it in the garage.

I'll miss it if I see it on the water!
