Evening at Morston

Given the late high tide I left Morston (North Norfolk) at about 17.30. By the time we had dropped my father at the point and headed out onto the sea it was about quarter to six. Given the lovely weather and the bank holiday it was very busy! Jet skis everywhere and loads of sailing boats. Saw a few RIBs too! (Sorry there arn't any RIB pics, but the camera ran out of juice)

Not so many seals about today, but still enough to entertain the hundreds of tourists!

Went to Morston Saturday - very choppy - saw the seals - then went to Burnham Overy yesterday - glorious sunshine - couldn't face the traffic to Morston. Anyone fancy day trip in the summer from Brancaster to Skegness?

Morston was very very very busy yesterday; absolutly no-where to park in the car park (parked on the mud near the slipway in the end). Never seen so many boats!

How far is it to Skeggie? I would be interested......

Reckoning 16 miles as the crow flies- early tide over - bbq - later tide back - trying to get a few boats together - probably June/ July time - I will start a new post on cruising list

Hope to be out tues or wed evening

Alex
