Avon 8.4

Thanks for the information,
mine is 8.5 with the engines and fuel tank towards the rear with clients going forward. Seems to be heavier than mine! (Tornado 8.5) 2600 kilos apprx.

The reason I asked was that when I bought it almost everyone from the traditional boaty fraternity in the locality stated she would be stern heavy and require ballast, since delivery I have been either too ill or too broke to launch but I guess this weekend we'll find out. My weight distribution is identical in location, thanks for the information.

thanks
mike

Mike, the all up weight of the boat is 2600kg and the weight of your two engines is 390kg. I think it will be fine on a boat of your length. Also dont forget you get a lot of bang for your buck with opti's so it will leap on the plane.

I also suspect your passengers will add a certain degree of ballast, where is the driving position? Tornado have been around for a long time and i am sure they got the boats balance right
