This was discussed a while ago - and this is what I / we said about CE marking and horsepower and handling tests:
The Blue Ice Marine Blade Runner does 99mph with the race props on but only about 80mph with Bravo one props and the charter gear on board.
It has 2.5 race engines (280hp?) and uses a lot of carbon fibre in its construction. When in race trim it also has a lid over the crew compartment giving very good aerodynamics.
15mph was gained by moving the 12kg anchor from the bow to the stern shortly after it was coded. Small things can make a big difference !
Only drove it once - and then up to only 60mph as it was cowes week and a bit "busy". Didn't get another chance as an over exuberent skipper rolled it with guests on board. No insurers were then interested in continuing cover
