Update!
Did a little RIB repairing today. The pipe that came off has now a meaty hose clamp on, it's like 3X the width of the previous one and I had to take care not to over tighten it. I dabbed a little...

Getting home at 13:00hrs meant that I was able to strip off the lower portside leg cowling and see what was going on in there. As noticed on the slip a stainless jubilee clip had failed though...
