I installed my ETEC 90 myself and the dealer...
I installed my ETEC 90 myself and the dealer just registered the motor at their system for warranty startup .
That saved me lot of money .
But I agree that EVINRUDE does not have the best...

Matt ,
No doubt that the old Yamaha is the best respectively lightest motor in his class but the question was which of the current available motors would fit best .
As for balance - with the ETEC...

Hi ,
I cannot tell you about the Suzuki but had a new 90 ETEC on my 5.4 and used the boat during the Round Ireland trip this year .
The motor never missed a beat and fuel consumption was 10 - 15%...
