Etecs have been been good, had an issue with water in the fuel but that had nothing to do with the engines. Check and make sure your underfloor tank doesn't have any hairline cracks!

Re-engined mine a few years ago, looked at putting 4 stroke yams on the back but they were just too bulky, went for twin 150 etecs instead. Not sure I'd like to put much more weight on the transom.
