The huts are privately owned; two belong to the local government. They have become a kind of local status symbol. God knows why; they're all damp, pokey and hardly ever used.

No-one lives there; it's uninhabited. The huts were built and used by fishermen years ago. I stayed in one myself for two weeks when I was fishing inside the reef during the 1980s.
