So, after 2 days of jet washing and painting on hydrochloride acid I'm ready to start repairing the gel coat chips and scratches.

Next step etch out all of the damage with a pencil grinder to give...

No apparently not, as long as its diluted 1 part hydrochoric 5 parts water although I'm still trying not to get too much on the toobs.

Alright dude

The acid is good where there is no damage to the hull but where there are scratches in the gel it sticks like you wouldn't beleive.

Nice cod by the way, did you have it for tea?

It has begun

Going to do piccies of this renovation so here goes!

First the hull so console out and turned over, years of lime scale. Already been jet washed and then onto hydrochloride acid,can't believe how...
