What I'm getting at is if he wants he could make a good job out of it. From what I can make out different RIB manufacturers have so far had transom failures, hulls fail near the bow and tubes part...

No harm in having a go and doing it yourself,...

No harm in having a go and doing it yourself, after all its no different to splashing a hull and sticking tubes on it.
At least if you do it yourself you might make a half decent job of it.
