Yep, the calibration is easier with the sender...

Yep, the calibration is easier with the sender out so you can move it by hand as you go. Not sure what's US and what's not but mine is a 30-240ohm and works fine....

Just in case anyone else has this problem...

....on smartcraft guages with 'VDO' on them you hold '+' & '-' then switch the key on, then hold down 'MODE' for 2 seconds to enter calibration settings.

Another question,
does anyone know how a fuel sender connects into the smartcraft guages? Wire colours etc? Googled it but no joy. Trying to find a schematic, the display shows fuel but can't see...
