Yup, that's the deck sump drain. Mine has one too (in this pic it's hidden under the transom lock bar my insurer required)

If it's the standard Valiant hole I'm thinking of, it's less than 2 inches in diameter. Don't elephant trunks need to be bigger than that?

Mine doesn't have one. Are you sure Valiant put it there?

Mine's got just two drain holes with plugs, one for a deck sump, the other for the hull void.
