well you might want to suggest they check the vat...

well you might want to suggest they check the vat rate on the fuel used for propulsion as BMF says its 5%.

not sure of the legality of you holding a big stock of red away from your boat that is intended for marine use post 1st nov? but it could equally be spare fuel you paid for at full price (with duty)...

Mollers - post 1st Nov the fuel put in boat tanks will still be red though - just taxed differently depending on declared application (commercial/leisure/heating). So dipping is no use...
