Mart- not sure if you'll be able to shed light...
Mart- not sure if you'll be able to shed light but according to the instructions, as I'm connected to the plotter via N2K I should be able to send an SRM and enter silent mode through the chart...

I fired up the unit prior to inputting the mmsi which meant it was running in receive only mode and it was ok then, no error, so I'm thinking its the unit.
