The only other risk is the back of the boat slewing around under a quick deceleration. Though some strong transom straps should help minimize that if the front can't...

Lesson here, I think, is not to trust the winch as a load holding device. Trailer winches are generally not really well maintained, and generally not really over-designed as a lot of other mission...
