IMO i go for max hp giving redundancy not...

IMO i go for max hp giving redundancy not flogging the engine then mine will perform with 4 in ok but there's no room for more so there's the limitation [yes the boat can carry 6 but not safe IMO].

It's hard to say as I plod around a lot I like to get close in and explore all the nooks and crannies but 25 lts lasted me all week if you look at fenlanders thread on his 20 will give a good idea.

Yep a lot less hassle mine sounds fantastic when she revs up quick and responsive good on fuel getting 22 knots flat calm seen 24 knots but wind/tide helped Mercury 365 the old 380 with shorter cones...

mines a 4 stroke Kevin but the 2 stroke are good two if you can get hold of one they did use to suffer from corrosion a bit in the old days but have no probs now but mechanically sound engines

I have the 25 great engine rip his arm off mate 3 cylinder engine loads of power very economical if it stopping on the boat no probs lifting go for it you know you should
