What speed are you getting Nugent with the PAC....our A22 with twin ETEC 150s does about 45kts but is a bit chiney above that. Re fuel we get about 1.7l per nm at 32kts

The rubber is there to seal between the front...

The rubber is there to seal between the front half and back half of the case, not between the case and the boat. Use some sealant....pref not Sikaflex as otherwise it'll be tough to remove the future.

Without a valid satellite the lock, the data will not be accepted by the VHF. If you are unsure if there is data getting through, just stick a meter on VDC across the two wires...should be 3-5v...

In my view it is very wrong to shut down main engines before being secured alongside, put them in neutral lock by all means to prevent risk of accidental engagement of gear when leaving the helm but...

I did about 30 hours on a twin Verado 300 RIB at close to 55 knots most of the time and the engines where fine even in pretty choppy conditions. It is true that active throttle control is important...

Removed the battery from mine altogether, made a...

Removed the battery from mine altogether, made a mounting bracket and installed it permanently with a switch on the console. Replaced the oem hose with five metres of 20mm convoluted conduit. Bob on!
