Down rating a trailer is very easy to do. You can simply put a replacement vin plate on with the reduced weight this is fine as long as you copy all the other details over i.e. chassis number etc....

You can get a 13pin to 7 pin adaptor plug to fit the back of your car to save changing the sockets over. I use them on my work Landies to swap the chipper frames around between vehicles.

The slipway at Helensburgh beside the pier is not a bad slipway depending on the tide. Usually very quiet as well. Although you can gain quite a crowd during launching and recovery.

I have Led lighting all round the trailer. I don't use a trailer board as everything is fitted to the trailer.

The marker lights on my mudguards help people see how wide the trailer is at night...
