It's free parking and launching at the Barrage, you only need a Canal and river trust day licence. There is a speed limit, but it's a nice ride to Yarm.

I used it once, then the next time I looked at it the battery box was all corroded and the unit didn't work, (even after I cleaned up the battery connections) I suspect the internals where corroded...

I finally bought one and I'm still using it, but it's a bit lightweight for a Lowrance Totalscan transducer. I'll be replacing it soon.
