Forum upgrade
As mentioned elsewhere I will be upgrading the forum software to the latest version of vBulletin soon. I'm not sure exactly when yet, and it may be at short notice, but it should only mean that the forums are closed for an hour or two.
vBulletin 3 is a major upgrade, and the fully tested version was finally released a couple of weeks ago after well over a year in development. As well as some very useful behind the scenes improvements there are a load of new features. Just to whet your appetites, here are a few: - attach multiple images to a message - add a photo to your profile - search the member list by custom fields (boat type etc) - automatic summertime adjustments :) - an all new "user reputation" system Watch this space . . . OK the forum upgrade is complete. Off line for just over an hour :)
There are lots of new features, but for the time being I have made it as close to the old version as possible. There may be a few things left to sort out, but I'm sure you'll let me know! John |
Well done.
Seems to work OK |
Looks good John well done :)

Well done JK. Very slick.
2 things; is there an edit button so that I can fix my typos? and I'm missing the left hand egde of the page but I can scroll across. 1024 horiz. resolution. Edit: Ah, I see. There is an edit button while I'm allowed to edit. |

Or even IMG tags in your signature(with very tight size limits of course)

Hello John,
I don't remember there being an auto-refresh for 60 seconds on the last version of the forums? (was there?!)..... I tend to leave this window always open, not sure if others do, but that refreshing every 60secs or so will use a fair bit of bandwidth won't it? Otherwise, it looks very neat and tidy :) -Alex |
