Priory Bay Picnic - Saturday 7 July 2007
 

In plenty of time for the diaries, a suggestion that we do a repeat run to
Priory Bay (Isle of Wight) again this year?

It has been a great run for all the family & friends in the past and details could be posted as we go along.

Tentatively pencil in one of the first two weekends in July i.e. Sat/Sun 1st
or Sat/Sun 7/8. Weather forecasts nearer the time should indicate which might be the better choice?

I will try and not have a hangover like last year, but it is just after our year end!

I think there is some serious allowances if any sailors wish to join :D :D

I'll say yes to this one. I enjoyed last year. Not too sure if I'm off those weekends but as you say this gives time to sort things out at work.

By the way I am not sleeping on that beach again. That was the worst nights sleep I've had since I got swept off the side of a hill in my sleeping bag in a storm back in 88.

That would be down to Jimbos poor tent pitching skills ;) had a pretty good nites sleep in my tent. But it was a bit wet the next morning and a bit windy on the crossing back.

You should have been in my 4 meter Sea Rider crossing over to Langstone in what seemed like 4 meter waves. Scariest time I've had on a RIB.

It was the first time I'd put it up (and it promptly fell apart, needing a return to the shop, afterwards)!

I've told you scout type people before - I don't do camping :D

And neither do I since that night in 'Chez Jimbo' :eek:

Lol, I was only learning how to put the tent up, hardly ideal conditions to learn, and I was a little beveraged at the time!

We'll have to drag Brian back from Down Under for some more "Extreme Cricket", and Kathleen, would you do the honours with Strawberries and Cream again, they were lovely!!!

And was it Pimms with nettles. I thought it was an Irish thing but later I think :-

a) Kathleen was trying to get us merry.

b) She was just trying to get rid of everything.

There was a few large bags of rubbish when we left.

Can I come please? I promise not to catch any balls when playing rounders (still can't believe I did that) :]

It was a big ball how come you couldn't catch it ?

I'm famous for my performances with small balls :D
