Tornado 5.5 fuel tank replacement

Replacing original Aluminium fuel tank on 1990's Tornado 5.5m

the culprit - ~ 5mm hole with an area of thinning approx 2" diameter around hole. Underneath was a big pile of sandy crud.

~5mm layer of wet crud under tank. looks like sand/sawdust

tank out. plenty of crud under old tank - it was just sat ontop of the gelcoat and not sealed, other than a glassed in flange at front and back

console off. Old tank in-situ. Writing on side reads "Tested 20/2/90"

Console off, lying on back deck (bottle rack removed)

Console and bottle rack before removal. De-cluttering under the seat beforehand.
