He is Greek ! He is sat in warm sunshine ! has more boats than the RN ? he likes the Euro! and wants 8m for £6k, not in this country he won't.

Not convinced by the Atlantic though, low transom and over engineered hull. There was a big 8.4m Avon with big petrols on the back for £22k in Beccles recently:

Selling the engines and trailer might bring the cost down to something near the required price or just keep it as is ?

Thanks Pete boat not there though unfortunately. Still keep looking and will find one at the end (for even less than 6K or better for EURO 9,000.00 lolol )

Incidently I am in the UK right now not in Greece. In greece weather is bad and someone told me today that is freesing cold and is raining cats and dogs!!

Yes its freezing abt 8-10 C today n forecast for tomm is 2-5 C

We need the Alkyonides soon (good weather within January usually 7-10 days every year) - but we have turned the corner
for the spring/summer

Manos if u shop around in Greece asking the manufacturers just for hull/tubes u will def get a deal done.

Hi enalios and HAPPY NEW YEAR 2 u 2 KALH HRONIA

I thought about Greek boat builders but Michael tha Bat and some other friends and the engineer that services my engine told me to keep away from all of them more than an arms length.

I also looked at a particular boat (will not mention make) in Greece and the build quality and finish I can mildly describe as rubbish.

So far I am at a dead end. However, somehting came up today and may be I have a solution to the problem (provided I can short out CE and Cat B issues )

I def don't agree - there are, like everywhere, good n bad professionals - Just as an example Scorpions are being built in Greece under licence (through Planatech) - Ribeyes are also built
here - just to name some known UK brands.
The majority of the ribs sold in Greece are built in Greece(combination of good English hull design n Italian finish/med style)

If u don't have the experience to tell the difference between a badly made hull/tubes n a good one just get somebody to do it for u localy. (but I am sure u can judge alone)

I strongly suggest u look into it more carefully n u will find something to suit yr needs

But seriously certainly worth looking into it. Greece or Italy will be the final choice. Will be in Greece next week so will go on a hunt!!
