Tinker Tramp/Traveller

Not exactly Ribs but I do a lot of inland sailing where Ribs are not viable. There are inflatable dinghys which have their own sailing rigs but are equally at home with a small outboard. They are called Tinker Tramps(10') or Tinker Travellers(12'). Anyone know of one for sale at a reasonable price or for that matter any other inflatable sailing dinghy please let me know
thanks
Martyn

Martyn,

These are worth a look http://www.walkerbay.com/gallery/dinghy.php

Not completely inflatable but you can get the collar to make them extremely stable.

You can also add a small outboard.

From a sailing point of view I would think a little more sprightly than the tinker tramp.

Car top-able too I would imagine.

Google on the name and there are dealers everywhere.

Robin.

Tinker Tramp/Traveller

I own a Tinker Star Traveller (it has a masthead jib which the standard Traveller doesn't). It sails extremely well and with sufficient wind they can plane (well, almost!). One of the other owners has (using GPS) clocked his Tinker sailing at 8 knots. At open meetings we also race them. Check out www.tinkerowners.org.uk.
