Redbay wrapround 6.5m -7.4m

Looking for a Redbay wraparound or similar canopy RIB

Size 6.5m to 7.5m
Would like to be able to trailer without a tractor! (Twin axles if available)

Preferences below but will adapt for the right boat...

Diesel engine capable of slow cruising/ trolling and economical for boat size/ weight, max speed not a factor. Large fuel tankage necessary.

Approx. 4 pod seats, normal anchor locker and space at bow - we have a need to reach over for spear tagging large sharks.

What I'm are looking for is a day to day workhorse for surveys and med distance cruising.

Reasonable post boom price as it is for a conservation charity.

Based north west Ireland but willing to travel

Many thanks

EMO

I met a couple of your finny friends around Inishowen this summer. Have you spoken to the guys at Redbay yet? They are slow to list available boats on the website, a quick call to Gary or Tom might turn up a boat coming as a trade in. The combination of Canopy, diesel and open bow might be tricky at that size but I appreciate that you are flexible.

Excalibur in Kerry are worth a call too...

7.4m redbay wraparound diesel

Thank Willk,

We got quite a few returns from the sharks tags deployed of Inishowen from Scotland this year which was great. Ill try redbay, as we are realy looking for an older style 7.4m diesel Redbay with wrapround canopy and preferably the 370/372 engine which seems to be the most economical. But as I said very adaptable for the right boat and price of course!

redbay wraparound

Thanks guys but holding out for a 7.4m diesel.

I'd go for a 6.5m if I were to go down the outboard route pretty muchthe same space as the 7.4m with diesel and lighter. Theres 2 6.5m available on redbay site at the moment but hopeing a 7.4m diesel will be available at the right price! no rush yet need it for april - May 2010.

There must be someone out there with a Redbay 7.4m meter rib with the ME370/ 372 engine and the old style/low anchor locker on the bow.

eyes peeled

Glad to hear you're sorted. It looks like she has remained a RIBnet boat her whole life. I think she was one of Andy Gee's. Jelly bought her and got Rogue Wave to bring her south to Cornwall from Inverkip.

Happy shark hunting
